Iron Man: IT WAS FRIGGIN’ AWESOME
Just got back in a little while ago from going to see Iron Man at the Commodore with a bunch of folks from work. BEST. SUPERHERO MOVIE. EVAR.
First off, the Commodore Theater friggin ROCKS. The sound was cranked to 11, the service was great, the food was excellent, the seating was comfy, and the place is f*cking incredible to walk in to, much less go see a movie. Secondly, Iron Man was an EXCELLENT movie. You will go see it NOW. I mean it. It was really, really good, though the flashback/flashforward beginning was a little odd. REMEMBER TO STAY AFTER THE CREDITS. There’s a little surprise there.
As far as the group thing went, everyone that said they were coming showed up. We all mustered at the Bier Garden across the street from the theater before showtime. I highly recommend the Aventinus they have on draft. I had a pint before the movie, and couldn’t feel my tongue. That’s what I get for drinking a strong beer on an empty stomach.

Glad to hear you all had a good time. Our neighbor, Aline, has been to that theater several times w/her friend. Always has good things to say about it. The Bier Garden is the greatest. I love good German good and good beers and they have it all. Great pictures, too.

In a word – AWESOME! The event turned out to be a great success. We will definitely have to do it again. And the movie was even better than I was expecting. A definite “must see”! Indian Jones and The Dark Knight are coming up soon, so maybe we can plan another outing soon. A full review of Iron Man is getting posted to butteredpopcorn.net later today so check it out!

Yeah, I agree, Dirk. It WAS friggin’ awesome! Super fun hanging out with you guys. BTW, nice shots…I love how my head is cut off cuz Im 9-tall.
